The Bolivarian
Government held a comprehensive health day in El Bosque
Park, located in the municipality of Cristóbal Rojas, in the
state of Miranda, as part of the commemoration of the World Day for
the Fight against Breast Cancer.
The activities
were focused on prevention, early detection and women
's health care. A wide range of free
services was also guaranteed.
“This is a month to vindicate all our women, those true warriors. Women are companions, friends and mothers, it is time for us to protect and care for them. Together we are stronger!” , said the Secretary of Government, Yuhismar Hernández.
On the other hand, a full day of More Years, More Love was held, which provided specialized medical care to 278 grandparents in the community.
Attendees were able to access medical and
nutritional checks, hairdressing and barbering services, as well as
consultations and registration with the Venezuelan
Social Security Institute (IVSS), according to a press release from the Cristóbal Rojas Mayor's Office.
“The results of this day were more
than positive, we delivered more than 949 medical treatments to
our older adults. Grandparents and grandmothers are a fundamental
part of the family nucleus and deserve all our respect and care,”
said Angélica Rodríguez, the municipality's sole health authority.
Throughout the month of October, the Bolivarian Government has
intensified awareness-raising campaigns on the importance
of early detection of cancer.
