The Bolivarian Government inaugurated the San Luis water well, which will benefit 3,500 inhabitants of five communities, by providing drinking water directly to their homes in the Hoyo de La Puerta sector of the Baruta municipality, Miranda state.

The new well was a project presented and approved by the community organized in the Popular Consultation and built by the Hydrological Department of the Capital Region (HIDROCAPITAL) with the support of the Government of Miranda, through the Secretariat of Water and the organized Popular Power.

The award ceremony of the work was attended by Governor Elio Serrano, who stressed that this action was possible thanks to the three levels of government, together with the organized Popular Power.

The Revolutionary Government works to restore people's right to have water. This is not an easy issue, but at Miranda we will continue to build water wells in sectors where the vital liquid does not reach them, so that it reaches them gradually. For example, in this sector of San Luís, there are six liters per second of water that will arrive to them weekly and that had never reached them. However, it would be good to shorten distribution cycles so that they can have greater access to drinking water,” he said.
