The Bolivarian Government inaugurated the Cacique Nigale Lake Terminal, to strengthen the interconnection between the Mara and Almirante Padilla municipalities in the state of Zulia.
The inauguration was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán and the governor of the entity, Luis Caldera.
“We are lifting everything that is the road system, the urban transport system, the whole issue of air and maritime connections, for the economic development of all daily activities,” said Velásquez Araguayán.
For his part, Caldera, explained that the works began on July 10 and were carried out in record time for the benefit of residents of both towns in the Guajira subregion, fishermen and visitors.
“We dream that these towns will once again have their ferry to transport goods to those islands and we know that in these four years we will achieve it together with our president Nicolás Maduro; as well as all the works and all the projects for the Guajira region, which is a loyal and hardworking region,” he said.
