The People's Power Minister for Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, inspected the operation of the Antonio José de Sucre and Juan Manuel Valdez thermoelectric plants, in the state of Sucre, and of the Luisa Cáceres de Arismendi and Juan Bautista Arismendi generation plants, located in the state of Nueva Esparta.

In Sucre, Márquez verified the scope of the technical improvements in the plant located in the Gran Mariscal de Ayacucho Industrial Complex (Cigma), in Güiria. The infrastructure contributes to the stability of the National Electric System (SEN) and contributes to offshore gas development. In Guanta, he supervised the maintenance maneuvers being carried out in Unit 1, actions that will bring greater efficiency to the infrastructure that serves the states of the eastern region, a press release said.

He also verified the operability of the generation equipment and listened to the workers, responding to the proposals generated by those who operate the SEN technically and humanely.

In Nueva Esparta, the minister was able to verify, together with the workers of the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), the operation of the generation systems that serve the state, as part of the SEN National Plan for Inspections and Comprehensive Maintenance.

He reviewed the operating conditions of the equipment and carried out technical exchanges with specialized personnel, in order to strengthen the electrical service in the entity.
