Bolivarian Government installed work desk to protect Canaima National Park

The Bolivarian Government set up a multidisciplinary
working table in the Canaima National Park to coordinate
actions for environmental protection, ecosystem sanitation and comprehensive
social care for the indigenous communities that live in the area.
According to information from Venezolana de
Televisión, the deployment involves the articulation of different
State agencies to develop a plan aimed at eradicating the environmental threats
present in the park, recovering the natural environment and strengthening the economy
of native peoples.
The day was attended by the Minister of Popular
Power for Ecological Mining Development, Héctor Silva; the Minister of Popular
Power for Ecosocialism, Nelson Rodríguez; the commander of the Strategic Integral Defense
Region (REDI) No. 6 Guayana, MG Miguel Antonio
Yilales Arteaga; the commander of the Integral Defense Operational Zone (ZODI)
No. 62 Bolívar, GD Miguel Darío Colmenares Coronado, and the commander of Zone No. 62 of the National Guard,
GB Reinaldo Ramos Hurtado.
The technical panel also included the Deputy Minister of Mining, Alejandro Martínez; the Deputy Minister of Water and Sanitation, Yesenia Moreno; the general director of Alternative Sources, Ramón Quintero; the general director of Inparks, Florian Cardozo; the regional director of Corpoelec, Rafael Rangel; representatives of the National Forestry Company and the sole authorities of the state of Bolívar, Jessiel Gascón, Eidilio Pernalete and Daniel Valenzuela.
