Bolivarian Government Installs IV Venezuelan Cocoa Congress in Mérida

At the facilities of the University of Los Andes, in the state of Mérida, the IV Venezuelan Congress of Caca and its Industry was inaugurated, together with the First International Congress of Cocoa, which will take place in the region until October 24.
Through a press release, the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT) participates in the congress, presenting more than 25 scientific papers that address various areas related to the cocoa production chain.
The Deputy Minister for Research and Generation of Scientific Knowledge of Mincyt, Carmen Virginia Liendo, explained that, from the ministry, works are being presented in the “agronomic management area, in the nursery area, in the area of quality control, in the area of disease and pest management, with the purpose of increasing the yields of this Venezuelan cacao”.
National scientists, researchers and academics and international representatives from different countries participate in this day, who will share their knowledge and experiences in the management of cocoa.
