Bolivarian Government promotes 996 scientific projects based on principles of ethics and life

The Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, held a meeting with the MINCYT Bioethics Committee to review the work agenda of this body, which accompanies the execution of 996 research and scientific innovation projects promoted by the Bolivarian Government throughout the country.

According to a press release, the also Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health stressed that these initiatives are part of a State policy guided by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to strengthen territorial development and promote social inclusion.

“Each of these initiatives pays tribute to territorial development and social inclusion, based on ethical principles for life,” said the minister.

He highlighted the work of the Bioethics Committee, which is composed of doctors Liccia Romero, María Eugenia Cavazza, Yadira Rangel, Palmira Guevara, and doctors Miguel Ángel Núñez, Rodolfo Vargas and Ángel Viloria.

He also stressed the importance of preserving ethical and humanist values in the face of current challenges and aggressions against the country promoted by the United States Government, which maintains a military deployment in the Caribbean, with warships pointing towards Venezuela.

“It is important that in the face of imperial aggression, the accelerating technological world, the tendency to impose individualism on scientific research, the cult of the ego, among other dangerous behaviors, we must balance practices and order work under the fundamental principles of morality and ethics in science,” he concluded.
