The Nevado Mission, in coordination with the Castralat Foundation and with the support of the Guaicaipura mayor's office, held a massive day of feline sterilization at the Tanya Díaz House of the Arts.
The day was promoted in order to control overpopulation, reduce abandonment and improve the quality of life of animals.
Edgar Trejo, coordinator of the Nevado Altos Mirandinos Mission, highlighted the importance of the activity. “We are here, thanks to the management of Misiones of the mayor's office and with the support of the Castralat Foundation, on a massive day of sterilization of community and companion animals.”
For her part, the young Lindzay Delgado, a beneficiary and resident of La Matica, said: “I brought two community cages and well, I think it's excellent that they do this type of event because there are many animals on the street that are suffering, and it helps us all a lot, the care is excellent, as well as the supply of antibiotics and post-operative guidance to the owners.”
In addition, Erika Aranguren, a protectionist at El Encanto, said: “This type of campaign, for the sterilization of kittens and puppies, benefits all those people who are protectionists, both for public health and for the benefit and improvement of the quality of the animal, with this we avoid complaints of abuse or crimes against animals,” she said.
