To strengthen the National Public Health System (SPNS), the Bolivarian Government increased specialized care in the country's capital with the reactivation of the Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) service in the Gastroenterology Department of the Vargas Hospital in Caracas.

The Ministry of People's Power for Health reported that this measure seeks to guarantee highly complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the population that attends this important healthcare center and consolidates a significant step in free and quality medical care.

The restoration of this specialized study was possible thanks to the skill of the gastroenterology medical team and to the equipment and infrastructure efforts promoted by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, to guarantee the free and universal right to health through the articulation of community and hospital care networks.

With the implementation of this medical technology at the Vargas Hospital, the public health network strengthens its operational capacities in the Capital Region and consolidates health sovereignty by offering timely treatment to patients with biliary and pancreatic diseases.
