The Venezuelan Territorial Defensive System continues its fight against illegal drug trafficking with the seizure of 644 pots containing 790 kilograms of cocaine in the town of Macuro, Valdéz municipality of Sucre state.

This was reported by the national anti-drug superintendent, M/G Danny Ferrer Sandrea, who explained that this action is part of Operation “GB Domingo Antonio Sifontes” of the Bolivarian Shield.

In a review of the Ministry of Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, on his account on the social network Instagram, Ferrer emphasized that “it is a strong and forceful blow against these structured drug trafficking gangs in their ethereal attempt to use our sovereign space as a transit for their nefarious business.”

He also highlighted that thanks to the perfect Popular, Military and Police Fusion, more than two tons of different substances have been seized in the first two months of the year.

“To date, we have achieved 1,262 procedures, which have resulted in 1,500 detainees, because of the extraordinary work carried out by the country's military and police forces,” Ferrer said from Detachment 533 of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) Zone Command in Güiria.

Thanks to the citizen security policies implemented by the Bolivarian Government and the Great Quadrant Peace Mission led by the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, structured organized crime groups dedicated to illegal drug trafficking have migrated and generated new routes for this illegal trade.

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) and the Public Security Agencies, hand in hand with the People's Power, remain alert and in permanent operations to ensure the full protection of the rights of the Venezuelan people.
