In order to strengthen the multi-destination product, the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR), Leticia Gómez, accompanied by Ambassador Remigio Ceballos, held a meeting with Li Liyang, General Manager of Marketing at Air China at the International Travel Mart Fair (CITM).
The minister raised the interest of the Bolivarian Government in expanding connectivity with Havana or opening a direct flight to the country, MINTUR reported on its website.
During the exchange, Gómez stressed that these efforts are part of the circuit drawn by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to position Venezuela as a reference destination in the Asian market.
He assured that the air expansion will facilitate the flow of visitors and will serve as a logistical bridge to boost commercial and cultural exchange.
For their part, Air China representatives showed a favorable willingness to evaluate operating schemes to narrow distances and consolidate mutually beneficial alliances.
This approach reaffirms the deep brotherhood and the solid bonds of friendship that unite the peoples of Venezuela and China.
In this context, the minister also met with Danielle Eu, director of the Department for the Opening of New Air Routes of the airline China Southern. This action is important for the development of a commercial operation in the country.
Working together at the CITM demonstrates a political will to build an architecture of cooperation based on respect and shared development.
Through this bilateral effort, they confirm their commitment to move towards a new era of sustainable tourism, economic integration and mutual recognition of heritage wealth.
