The National Government announced the rehabilitation of the Naguanagua Olympic Village, an infrastructure that houses national and regional athletes.

The Minister of Popular Power for Sports, Franklin Cardillo, explained that this is a rehabilitation of a total of 568 rooms in the Olympic Village, a dining room and optimal facilities for the lodging and preparation of athletes, the regional press reported.

“This Villa was built in 1974 and we can say that it is one of the best in the country. Carabobo has been a powerhouse in sports and is therefore part of this great project within the framework of the national plan aimed at high-performance centers in the country,” he said, quoted by the regional press.

The holder of the sports portfolio noted that the improvements are being made with the objective of concentrating the women's national softball team and Paralympic athletes who will represent the country in the next Olympic cycle.
