Bolivarian Government will build a retaining wall on Troncal 5 between Táchira and Barinas

The sector vice-president of Public Works and Services, Juan José Ramírez, announced the construction of a stabilized wall with piles in the El Zigzag sector of Troncal 5, a road that connects the states of Táchira and Barinas.

The information was released during the visit of the National Commission appointed by the President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, to evaluate the damage caused by intense rainfall in the Andean entity.

The commission was also composed of the Minister of Popular Power for Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, and the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Francisco Garcés.

He explained that he inspected directly on the ground the sectors most affected by the rains in San Cristóbal, Capacho and Cárdenas, evaluating damage to housing, edge faults and the collapse of drains and floods that require immediate dredging and rectification work.

“In an articulated way between the National Government, the Government, the Mayors and the FANB, we defined a comprehensive work plan to respond quickly and provide peace of mind and protection to the people of Tachirense,” he said.

For his part, the governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, assured that together with the government team, “we are deployed in the field evaluating strategic projects, such as the work on Troncal 005 to provide effective answers to the needs of our people.”

“Despite the difficulties, our commitment is unwavering: we continue to work together to transform problems into concrete solutions that guarantee the well-being of all Tachirenses, because we are convinced that with effort and determination Venezuela goes ahead and wins,” he stressed.
