Bolivarian Government will inaugurate first phase of Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Park in Trujillo this Saturday

The governor of the state of Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, announced during his official radio program that, following instructions from President Nicolás Maduro, the first stage of the Dr. José Gregorio Hernández Park will be inaugurated this Saturday.

He explained that the park, formerly known as Parque Los Ilustres, covers more than 60,000 square meters. The event will include the unveiling of a nine-meter-tall statue created by a national artist.

The park will have four terraces, a security system, public restrooms, trails, a fountain, gyms and other public areas.
