Bolivarian Government will launch plans to promote healthy eating and to promote reading

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Thursday that comprehensive plans called “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind and Less Screen, More Reading” will be activated soon, as an initiative to promote physical and mental health in the country.

The announcement was made within the framework of the National Congress of Chefs and Chefs of the Homeland, held in Plaza Bicentenario, in connection with World Food Day.

He explained that the initiative will be aimed at all ages and is configured as a strategy to achieve the maximum social happiness of the Venezuelan people, an objective rooted in the nation's historical thinking.

The head of state explained that the “Healthy Body, Healthy Mind” Plan will have a central component in the area of physical health, specifically addressing the issue of weight and nutrition.

“Everything has its point and we are very close to having, ready, a plan that everyone will like..., the plan will be called Plan Healthy Body, Healthy Mind”, to address the issue of weight and diet. Healthy eating, so that we learn to eat healthy; a healthy body, so that we exercise every day,” he explained.

He indicated that another project linked to reading will be launched, so that people can recreate, inform and learn through books. “Less screen, more reading, more conversation, more debate, more creative mind,” he said of the objectives of this new policy, which is still under development

This effort seeks to strengthen the intellectual capacities and critical spirit of the people, preparing them to “build our homeland... and win peace every day”.
