The Minister of Popular Power for Industries and National Production, Alex Saab, announced the reactivation of the Francisco Lazo Martí Agroindustrial Complex, located in the state of Guárico.

The project contemplates boosting domestic production and strengthening food sovereignty.

The comprehensive rehabilitation of the rice processing plant, the modernization of its machinery and storage systems, and the reactivation of planting and harvesting programs will be carried out in large areas of the state, according to the Venezuela News website.

The initiative will be implemented in coordination with the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia and will include the participation of local producers, peasant cooperatives and national companies linked to the agro-industrial sector.

The Francisco Lazo Martí Agroindustrial Complex, considered an emblem of the country's agricultural capacity, will once again operate at full capacity after a rehabilitation process that will allow thousands of tons of rice to be processed per year and generate hundreds of direct and indirect jobs for Guarican communities.
