Last July, the Bolivarian government of Aragua announced the start of self-construction housing projects in the communities of Las Tablitas and Lomas de Sinaí, both sectors located in the south of the city, specifically in the Casanova Godoy parish of Maracay.
The self-construction housing program promoted by the national government through the Venezuela Housing Mission, and which is part of the projects presented by organized popular power. It is a collaborative system in which the beneficiaries contribute their own efforts to endogenously build their homes and in this case the municipality, with the support of different entities and institutions, allocates land, materials and technical support to jointly develop the different units.
The construction of the first houses in both sectors has already made significant progress, the building models have different characteristics due to the land conditions and construction areas. In the case of Lomas de Sinaí, the houses will have three bedrooms, a bathroom and a living room and kitchen area; meanwhile, in the Las Tablitas sector, the houses will have the same layout but with two bedrooms.
