Book “Minimal calligraphy” by Belén Ojeda was baptized at the 19th World Poetry Festival

The writer Belén Ojeda presented and christened her book “Minimal calligraphy, poetic anthology” this Tuesday at the 19th World Poetry Festival that takes place at the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas.

According to information from Venezolana de Televisión, this issue brings together texts from her first to her last published literary work, where her words vibrate through photography, art, music and poetry.

This event was attended by an important delegation from Brazil, Paraguay, Guatemala, Bolivia, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Cuba, who shared their poetic work to express their feelings. In addition, they demonstrated their support for Palestine through their lyrics.

The honoree at the 19th World Poetry Festival, Belén Ojeda, stressed that it is an honor to share with poets from all over the world, especially with Palestinians, because they are a people living in a complex moment and that, for decades, has been subject to the occupation and extermination of Zionist colonialism.

For his part, the poet from Guatemala, Winston González, asserted that these meetings celebrate our language, our languages. “We came to celebrate poetry and to unite with South America, with Venezuela, with Palestine.”

While the poet, representative of Bolivia, Melissa Sauma added that “these spaces are vital for peace to be built in Latin America and in the world and of course to raise our voices, to expand love, to expand justice, so that through poetic initiative we can have a more peaceful, more loving world”.
