The men's beach volleyball couple Gerardo Bordones and Sebastián Pereira said goodbye to the U18 World Championship in Doha, Qatar, as the best duo in America, after placing fifth and being the only one in the continent to reach the quarterfinals, where they fell to the Turkish duo 2-0 (21-18, 21-19).
