Cabello: 317 kg of marijuana have been seized in Apure and another 3 thousand 161 kg in Falcón

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported this Tuesday that security agencies, in various operations, seized a total of 317 kg of marijuana in Apure and another 3,161 kilograms in Falcón.

In this regard, during a press conference, he pointed out that the seizure of drugs is linked to the conspiracy and terrorism plot of the extreme right. “To this date, in the first half of 2025, we have already confiscated more drugs than anything that was captured last year,” he said.

At the same time, he recalled that during Operation Lightning, more than 31 tons of drugs were seized. In addition, he specified that Venezuela has shot down 396 aircraft used by the DEA for drug trafficking.

He also pointed out that in the La Cañonera sector, in the state of Zulia, an operation is being carried out “in which we carry 163 kilograms of cocaine in addition to those we have confiscated, at this time, and we have a series of arrests.”

“All these drug trafficking operations are linked to the operation of terrorism, paramilitarism and money laundering conspiracy,” he said and reiterated that sectors of the extreme right, led by María Corina Machado, are closely related to them.

He reaffirmed that Venezuela declared a fight “against all manifestations of gangs in the country, whether they are drug trafficking gangs, terrorism, conspiracy, criminals, call themselves a gang of corrupt politicians, politicians who have no shame in joining drug trafficking money to achieve their ends.”
