Cabello announces deployment of the PSUV across the country ahead of the Popular Communal Consultation on October 18

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced during the weekly press conference of the National Directorate of the Red Awning the deployment of the entire structure to accompany the National Popular Consultation scheduled for October 18, a day in which the People will choose community projects throughout the homeland.

The Bolivarian leader highlighted the historic number of applications and initiatives submitted by citizens for this democratic call. “The party is going to be deployed; according to the consultation we have on October 18, more than 37,000 projects were submitted, the minister tells me that 48,000 community councils are going to participate, that's the record of participation that will take place for this consultation,” said Cabello.

In addition, the Secretary General emphasized the leadership and the renewal of voices within grass-roots organizations, highlighting the massive incorporation of the youth sector in the management of popular power. “More than 3,775 have been elected, re-elected to the Municipal Council in 47% it is more than 600,000, which belongs to young people under 35, so we are going to Comuna or nothing with the youth,” he said.

Cabello ratified the commitment of the political force to the consolidation of the socialist communal state, calling on grassroots structures, social movements and organized popular power to join massively the previous assemblies and the mobilization of next October 18 to prioritize State resources for the direct benefit of communities.
