Regarding the attack recorded on the National Electricity System (SEN), last Saturday, February 22, in Anzoátegui, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, assured that by order of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, the act of vandalism is being investigated.
Cabello, during the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, reported that he had a conversation with the Minister of People's Power for Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, who is with a team carrying out recovery and research work.
“In this damage that was specifically done to the towers, complete profiles were taken out and taken away, seeking to do damage ( ... )”, he said and added that “this is not new, remember that this country was left (the right) without light, on March 7, a fact that they announced before it happened, the Bocones, thinking that with that they were going to surrender to us, 'that's it, the Revolution was over. '”
He stated that, in the face of the damage, the National Government came to the defense of the People: “They believe that after the sabotage comes the bankruptcy of the People, someone told them: 'Talk about bankruptcy'”.
He stressed that last Sunday “we got some people who are being detained, in a preventive manner, with material,” he said and added that “we are law-abiding, Minister Márquez denounces it and we are obliged to comply with the Law.”
“If that (the towers) fell, the damage could have been disastrous; they had already done that in various parts of the country. We must announce it and keep our people informed.”
Extremist sectors carried out a terrorist attack against electrical installations this Saturday, causing the demolition of a transmission tower in the state of Anzoátegui, in the northeastern region of Venezuela
