Cabello confirms capture of individuals on the high seas linked to drug trafficking (+Colombia)

Speaking to the media, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, provided details of the progress of the investigation of terrorist plans promoted by the drug gangs promoted by María Corina Machado.

“Yesterday, for the first time, we saw a note from EFE saying that we had captured some guys on the high seas; of course we captured them and presented them, that's what we've been saying, they were found with a shipment of fuel because they become filling stations for drug trafficking,” said Cabello.

It also reported that the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations Corps (CICPC), in Nueva Esparta, yesterday seized 10,000 liters of diesel. “Along our borders we have destroyed more than five attempts to set up camps and thanks to the action of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB),” he said, adding that “on this side they are not going to do it, there are borders that are protected and guarded to the extreme.”

“The war in Colombia is historic, we have demonstrated with clear, transparent facts, the protection of our border, when President (Nicolás) Maduro talks about binational zones it is because Venezuela is ready with men and women deployed in a positive experience; we, unfortunately, cannot say that on the Colombian side,” he stressed.

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace assured that Venezuela is at Colombia's behest to collaborate. “This is a work in effort, to understand the vulnerability of those borders, that's why we take care of them, this is happening to Colombian groups,” he said.
