Cabello described the IV National Popular Consultation as extraordinary: Town in the street overwhelmed!

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, described as extraordinary the participation of the People in the IV National Popular Consultation that was held last Sunday, November 23, throughout the country.

“It was impossible to hide what happened in Venezuela yesterday at the fourth National Popular Consultation; People on the street overwhelmed, exercising their right in this participatory and leading democracy, making decisions like never before, a true democracy in development,” he said.

In that sense, during the PSUV press conference, he questioned how the media from sectors of the right try to hide the truth about Venezuela. “I don't know how the right-wing media try to cover up something that was extraordinary (...) in truth they are likely to lie, to hide things and not to tell the truth, ” he said.

He emphasized that today Venezuela is living a true democracy and not like in the Fourth Republic. “Today our People transcended the presidential elections, today the People have the power to decide where resources are going to be invested in each community, in each commune and that is called Popular Power,” he said.

He reaffirmed that this is part of the legacy of Commander Hugo Chávez and that President Nicolás Maduro continues today, who has set the goal of consolidating the 6 thousand communes by the year 2026.
