Diosdado Cabello, during his Con El Mazo Dando program, highlighted the mistreatment, forced disappearances, executions and selective murders committed in the Fourth Republic against progressive social and political leaders.

“La Pica was a prison where people didn't fall to the coba, and they had a ward that they called political prisoners and there I saw for the first time the young leader Amarelis Pérez Marcano arrested, as well as Alexis Toledo and others, who had the courage and courage to face a repressive regime that violates human rights,” he recalled.
