The sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, revealed that terrorist groups linked to the Venezuelan extreme right intended to attack the embassies and residences of diplomats in Colombia, Spain and France, in addition to the office of the United Nations (UN) in the country.
“This is good to know, part of the specific attacks were the residence and embassy of Colombia, the residence and embassy of Spain, the residence and embassy of France, and the UN office in Venezuela,” he said, noting that these were some of the objectives to set explosives, as part of the destabilizing plans of the extreme right in the country ahead of the elections last Sunday, May 25.
In this regard, he indicated that they also intended to attack international observers, members of tables and personalities of the Revolution and the opposition who were participating in elections, according to the evidence found in the seized notebooks of the extreme right wing Juan Pablo Guanipa.
In addition, he recalled that these destabilizing plans are linked to the dismantling of criminal gangs in Zulia. As well as with the seizure of more than 400 rifles and weapons of war confiscated at different events and brought, many of them, from the United States.
