This Thursday, the Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, during a press conference on the dismantling of right-wing terrorist plans, spoke about Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and “the implementers”.

“They used implementers, what I have called in some places 'the greengrocers' because that was the name they gave them; today they pay for the sidekick, today they pay for the orange,” he exemplified the payments of the implementers through NGOs for terrorist plans against Venezuela.

In this regard, he recalled the recent approval of the Law on the Control, Regularization, Action and Financing of Non-Governmental Organizations and Non-Profit Social Organizations and stressed that Venezuela has been denouncing the role of play in receiving and distributing money for destabilizing plans for years.

He also stressed that previous governments of the United States (USA) used NGOs and then “realized that they were not successful because the implementing NGOs stole their money. The media that were paid...”.

“Yesterday I filed a complaint from Commander Hugo Chávez in 2004 about the money given to SÚMATE and María Corina Machado” through NGOs, he said and added that “there is an operation handed over to SÚMATE for an operation in El Congo... That's called exporting ineptitude, if they couldn't with Venezuela, are they going to be able to do it with an operation in the Congo?”

The Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Citizen Security and Peace, stressed that the research in Venezuela is well under way “they said they were using USAID funds... Terrorist groups were paid under that figure and the investigation continues, it will have very good results.
