The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, announced that this Thursday, May 29, in the country's main movie theaters, the film “The Kueka Stone”, also known as “Kueka: Ancestral Memory”, will be released.
“So that they don't steal our memory,” he emphasized in his show Con el Mazo Dand or, broadcast number 528.
Cabello read a synopsis of the film, which is a brief summary of the central plot of the aforementioned film directed by María de Los Angeles Peña, which narrates the struggle and resistance of the Pemón people to recover their sacred stone, the “Abuela Kueka”, which represents the ancient memory, a battle that lasted 22 years and achieved its recovery.
In his reading, he commented that the film transports back to 1998 when the sacred stone “Grandmother Kueka”, “was torn from the Great Savannah and taken to Berlin, Germany”.
“A little gift that (former president Rafael) Caldera gave to the Germans, because that was his,” Cabello ironized.
