The first vice-president of the United
Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, highlighted the progress of the National
Assembly in the debates, led by the president of the
Venezuelan parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, on the Electoral Laws and Popular Power that are taking place throughout the country.
“Speaking, collecting contributions, information
because those laws are going to be approved this year, and then it's late, if you don't get
on that train, we'll see each other in the 2025 elections and those who don't ride
are left without a ticket,” Cabello said during a PSUV press conference.
He also referred to
the elections next year and indicated that “there are those who want to ride, but they are not
admitted, because it's very easy, very buttery to go to elections when they call
elections, but when it comes to recognizing the results they don't recognize them and they get involved in a
conspiracy.”
He noted that there are already sectors of the opposition meeting,
“to see how they slip through the railing.” At the same time, he reaffirmed that Venezuela “has a very high concept of true democracy, not the old
representative democracy, it is a participatory and leading democracy (...) Here it is the people who
rule”.
“So our brother president of the AN is deployed, those Laws are going to be approved and those who want to make their contributions can do so,” he said.
