The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that the attack on Venezuelan youth is because they know that they are in a process of formation and are rebels.

“The education of this generation is much better politically and ideologically, and the number of young people who understand the world we are living in is greater,” said Cabello during the radio program, Sin Truco Ni Maña.

Cabello recalled that people used to be afraid to participate in politics, to show that they thought differently. “The 70s were terrible, they persecuted them, they disappeared, in the 80s Cantaura greeted us, 23 young people were massacred, the massacre of the students of the Central University of Venezuela in Tazón and many others,” he said.

In that regard, Cabello emphasized that all these massacres were a clear message they sent to young people.

“Now North American imperialism sees that the boys of Venezuela are being formed, they are rebels and that is why they are attacking them,” he reiterated.
