The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that currently North American imperialism seeks to control people through the media.
“Now the world has within the same structure of imperialism, a mechanism that is mutating and one way in which it wants to maintain hegemony is through that, of trying to control human beings, through the means,” he explained.
In this regard, he commented that in the past, for the same purpose, what was known as subliminal seduction was used in advertising, which consisted of “including messages related to sex in advertising, in advertising, so that people would receive that in their subconscious, they didn't even realize it”.
During his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 487, he stated that an enormous effort has been made in Venezuela to avoid the aforementioned control of the people through the media.
“Of course, when you see that the owner of one of the world's companies is in charge of that business, of those attempts, you ask yourself: Why will it be?” , he stressed.
When referring to the social network X, Cabello asked: “Where do you receive income from? (...) I pay 44 thousand (dollars), because I pay so much for something that I'm not going to give you any money: For influence.”
“And they are modeling the human being, so they have imposed governments in other countries,” he said.
