Diosdaado Cabello Rondón assured that in Venezuela no one can be sad, because “finally José Gregorio Hernández is a saint” (...) Only the bitter can be sad”

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) presented in his program the image of the Creole saint that was presented to him by the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, when he was sick with COVID -19.

“He told me that he was going to send me the best remedy and that was the image of José Gregorio Hernández,” he said and explained that despite being sedated, I felt the prayers of the People and the ancient wisdom, “when I woke up I felt José Gregorio by my side (...) I recognize his spiritual strength and personal healing power.”

He added that José Gregorio Hernández has been the saint of the poor for years who had no way to go to a hospital or clinic he was entrusted to him.

He commented that the Catholic Church had historic attempts to keep José Gregorio Hernández from becoming a saint. “They made every effort to make sure that man was not a saint. Someday they will declassify the documents they sent so that I would not be a saint. They linked it to witchcraft, to lies and he didn't deserve it, but years went by and it was achieved.”
