This Monday, January 06, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, assured that the extreme right, Edmundo González Urrutia, is “very cowardly” and has never expressed concern for Venezuela.

In this regard, during the press conference on the balance of the security deployment in the country, he recalled that González, on the same night of July 28, fled to the embassy of the Netherlands and that of Spain in Venezuela, and then sought political asylum in the latter.

“Nobody was chasing him, nobody (...), but as soon as they gave him the opportunity, he went to Spain and his only concern in Venezuela is his bushes, the plants he has in his apartment and some macaws that come to eat there, which are not his; he has never expressed concern for Venezuela, his concern is for personal things,” he said.

Faced with this, he pointed out that González Urrutia's threats, for January 10, are “pure straw, courage and willingness are needed to do that and he has neither the courage nor the willingness to do so”; in this way, he indicated that the extreme right will fail again and will bring out its theories of deception again in order to continue collecting money.

In addition, he specified that González's visit to Argentina is no surprise because fascism rules there, as well as all the countries they have on their supposed tour of Latin America.

“They are not going to come, anyway, we will gladly receive them in Venezuela; Mr. González Urrutia knows that as soon as he sticks a finger in Venezuela he will be arrested and charged with all the crimes for which he is accused,” he said.

He reaffirmed that the Venezuelan is willing to defend his homeland and “will not allow criminals from other countries to come and try to invade us.”
