The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, questioned the attitude of opposition journalists who do not assume that they are salaried workers in those sectors and that is why they defend them with the sword and cover even when they are not right.

“They try to maintain the position of 'no, I am a journalist', no, you are an opposition militant and you don't accept it, because basically that's not their job, it's their job (...) a salaried employee, I assume the position of the one who pays me the best,” he said during his show Sin Truco Ni Maña.

In that sense, he pointed out that when someone has a profession they do it with love, not like these opposition longliners who, because they are salaried, evade their responsibility.

He also specified the laugh it causes when they also call artists and pseudo-journalists who come to try to “talk about ethics” as spokespersons.

At the same time, he recalled that when the soldiers were imprisoned on February 4, many media outlets didn't say anything and the journalists who came out to say were persecuted or thrown out of their jobs.
