Cabello on Opposition Extremism: They Don't Prepare for Elections, They Always Prepare for War

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, warned that opposition extremism is preparing an agenda of violence aimed at sabotaging and making invisible the elections of governors, deputies to the National Assembly and state Legislative Councils this Sunday, May 25.

During the 527 broadcast of his Con El Mazo Dando program, he referred to the recent arrests that were made against a group of Venezuelans and foreigners who had instructions for placing explosive devices in embassies, headquarters of security agencies and even hospitals.

He specified that, according to the confessions of the detainees, these actions would take place before, during and after the planned electoral process as part of a destabilizing agenda, in response to which he denounced the anti-democratic and terrorist nature that prevails in a sector of the Venezuelan opposition.

“They don't prepare for elections, they always prepare for war, for violence,” he denounced while contrasting this action with the constructive, joyful and constructive spirit that prevails within the revolutionary people and their leaders.

“We do campaign and sing and dance and we are deployed all over the country calling for a vote,” he said.

Our priority is peace!

The also sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace highlighted the effectiveness of the efforts to protect stability carried out by security agencies in perfect union with the People and emphasized that peace is the priority for the leaders of the Bolivarian Government.

“The political high command meets and we make thoughtful decisions because we and the first one, I don't know if the term is worth that, the first priority is to guarantee peace for Venezuelans. It is the first, redundant in everything, it is the first thing we must guarantee, because peace, peace is what it is called transversal, peace guarantees a lot of things, from the tranquility of the country to the tranquility of the family, the home, of the house”, he stressed.

He pointed out that with priority given to actions that guarantee peace, in the Political and Military High Command of the Bolivarian Revolution, decisions are discussed and the decision taken is respected and implemented by all.

“If they (opposition) knew how we made a decision, do they know who is a person who consults, consults and consults? President Nicolás Maduro. And sometimes he has proposals and it's discussed because and the proposal may not be approved, sometimes you can bring a proposal and they don't approve it and you have to come out now as a decision of a group,” he said.

The CNE only works for opponents if they win

In reference to the extremist sector of the opposition that decided to participate in the 25M elections, he warned that, as always happens in every electoral process, these leaders are preparing to deny defeat by clinging to the song of “fraud”.

“On Sunday they'll come up with the same Chinese tale of fraud, that 's what they're going to come out with. You will already see Chatarrita (Henrique Capriles) saying: 'they made me fraud'. You will see it because you know them, you know them. For now, the call to our people is to go out en masse to vote this Sunday, our goal is to bury extremism and give more strength to democracy,” he said.

He recalled that these actions on the part of these leaders only show that they only recognize Venezuelan institutions when they favor them.

“They forgot that they participated in coups d'etat, but we are obliged to always remind them, because they haven't changed, they haven't changed. They have even participated in the assassination to a degree of frustration against President Nicolás Maduro, candidates, who participated in the planned invasions against Venezuela, candidates, there is one that they repeat in several of those terrorist incursions against our country, who have unknown the results, how many? This is choice number 32 right? In all but two because the CNE (National Electoral Council) serves them when they win,” he remarked.

If they come to conspire we will catch them!

Regarding foreigners arrested as a result of the dismantling of the terrorist plan of opposition extremism to tarnish the electoral process this Sunday, he announced that investigations are continuing.

In this regard, the Minister for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace also warned foreigners who intend to enter to destabilize that they will be identified and arrested.

“If they come here to conspire we are going to catch them, know it! Operation Tun Tun is splendid, it is flourishing and throwing branches everywhere,” he said and reiterated that peace will prevail in Venezuela.

“What this country wants is to live in peace,” he said.

Cabello took the opportunity to highlight the great victory won by the People of Venezuela after achieving the release of the girl Maikelys Espinoza, who was kidnapped by the United States Government, and pointed out that the fight continues to get back more than 600 children who are still in this North American nation in the midst of a disorder of the institutions of that country.

“They call themselves the first power in the world and what is a mess. Here they prove it every time they send Venezuelans. Two flights arrived today, one with 195 and another flight of eighty-seven and some children arrived, I'm happy when children arrive, see? Because children are reunited with life. 87 more to reconnect with life, to rediscover their homeland . Few are arriving, but they are arriving little by little and we demand from everyone else that the government of the United States has kidnapped there on the soil of that country and we demand the 253 that the fascist government (Nayib) Bukele has kidnapped,” he said.
