Cabello on the victory of this 25-M: It happened because the people know what happened when the AN was lost in 2015

The Venezuelan people know what the opposition is capable of when it wins any type of electoral event, which is why the support they received in the elections this Sunday was minimal, said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

“The people know what happened when the National Assembly was lost in 2015, they know perfectly well how they tried to give it to Venezuela. They are a string of thieves who stole CITGO, our gold, Monomers, they cut off the possibility of living from our children, who were going to be transplanted,” Cabello recalled during the usual weekly press conference of the PSUV.

In this regard, he highlighted how the Venezuelan opposition has always been silent or has supported imperialist attacks against our country. He recalled how the right wing did not raise its voice in defense of the Essequibo when the 2023 consultative referendum was called or how I am silent in the face of the kidnapping of a Venezuelan girl by the United States government.

On the other hand, he stressed that the PSUV and the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB), despite the immense victory this Sunday, have set out to go further to consolidate a great political and social force.

“The best way for us to continue growing is to assume this (the 25-M victory) with humility. The PSUV didn't win, our organized people won, a country project won, peace won, sovereignty won,” he stressed.
