Cabello: Only in Venezuela are the political rights of indigenous peoples recognized

Diosdado Cabello highlighted the recognition and enjoyment of their political rights by the indigenous peoples of Venezuela, who thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution this weekend will choose their leaders and representatives according to their ancestral traditions.

Beyond what our original peoples mean to us, it was the recognition that, thanks to Commander Chávez, was embodied in the Bolivarian Constitution of 1999, at a time when there were even our people who opposed its recognition in the Magna Carta,” he said during his Con El Mazo Dando program.

He added that only in Venezuela do indigenous peoples elect their representatives to the national parliament and regional legislative bodies according to their methods and customs.
