This Sunday, May 25, the
general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed
that the Venezuelan people across the country “are voting in peace, tranquility and
in absolute calm”, despite the rain.
In this regard, after exercising his right to
vote at the Rafael María Baralt del Furrial Basic School, in the state of Monagas, he
recognized the participation of the people in this electoral festival that “will culminate in peace”.
He reaffirmed that these elections are historic, because for the first time the governor and deputies of Guiana Essequiba are elected. “It is a great achievement for the Homeland that Venezuela is electing governor
for Guiana Essequiba,” he said.
Regarding the campaign of sectors of the extreme right against the elections, he indicated that “the best lesson we give him is to go out and vote massively.”
