Cabello: Pope Francis marked a before and after of the church hierarchy

“He was accused of being a communist and he really wasn't. They accused him and pointed out. There are many who are really partying right now because the mere presence of Pope Francis with his leadership profaned them.”

With these words, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, referred to Pope Francis, who marked a turning point in the church hierarchy known to the majority.

During his Con El Mazo Dando program, where he honored the memory of the supreme pontiff, he recalled that in the past, popes were chosen from among members of the same family. “I don't know if anyone could have met a pope who was more humane than this... hardly,” he said.
