Cabello: Popular national consultations belong to the People

The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, asserted that popular national consultations belong to the People, so it transcends the parties.

During the press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón said that they sent instructions to all members of the Red Awning party to be active in the mobilization.

He recalled that the people themselves decided where they wanted to vote, since voting centers are not imposed. “Now the people say where they want and where it's easier to vote and that's how we're working on a much more prominent democracy,” he added.

In that sense, he said that is why the vote has been increasing, “it has had sustained growth” since the first consultation held here in Venezuela, but beyond growth it has advanced, it has gained strength, form; our people are hopeful.

“The PSUV is a revolutionary party that is very clear about the line given by Commander Hugo Chávez and those given by President Nicolás Maduro in the formation of the Communes and in the strength that this great popular movement has assumed,” he said.

He emphasized that soon there will be 6000 communes in Venezuela. “Every time they underestimate the People, the People grow,” he said.
