Cabello: Popular Power is the main controller of the operation of the Peace Quadrants units

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, said this Friday that “Popular Power will be the main controller of the functioning of the units assigned to the Peace Quadrants.”

During the activation of Peace Quadrants in the state of Apure, Cabello stressed that all patrols and motorcycles will go directly to municipalities, where organized communities will monitor their operation. “Now, who's going to control that? Popular Power, Popular Power. Because you are going to have two motorcycles and a patrol,” he said.

The sectoral vice-president stressed that coordination between the People and the police forces is decisive for strengthening the security of citizens. “There is no problem here; on the contrary, we are meeting the police forces and our people. Apure is Apure for us, because it is that of Chávez, that of Bolivar, that of Nicolás, that of Delcy, that of the Patria, that of our governor and that of you, brothers and sisters. You are the main controllers,” he said.

Cabello reiterated that community oversight will be rigorous and transparent. “I guarantee that if someone writes that the patrol of this quadrant is no longer on site, I will find out, the governor will find out and we will take appropriate corrections. These patrols go to the street next to the Town; these motorcycles go to the street next to the Town,” he said and stressed that the delivery of the units responds to a real commitment to State security.
