The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, offered this Friday an assessment of the effects in several states of Venezuela due to the rains.

In this regard, he noted that the Bolivarian Government has remained deployed in various states such as Mérida, Portuguesa, Barinas, Trujillo, among others, to serve all affected families.

He pointed out that right now the biggest problem is the issue of roads. “Today, the damage is basically road, the services are already there, there is Minister Márquez, Ramón Velásquez, the Public Works Minister (...) who were there from the outset and were there serving the people,” he said, noting that 18 bridges fell in Mérida alone.

In reference to the Portuguese state, he pointed out that after the fall of a section on the entity's José Antonio Páez highway, a reinforced drawer will be built to overcome the contingency. “People are already working on that,” he said, referring to the fact that Governor Primitivo Cedeño is very aware of these tasks.
