This Thursday, at a press conference, the sectoral vice-president for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reported on the arrests and the links of the extreme right with drug trafficking aimed at sabotaging the elections of May 25 in Venezuela.

“I said last Wednesday that we had captured (Enit Kasmi) an Albanian-Colombian citizen with a high record of drug trafficking; we captured him here, we discovered that there is an amount of money from drug trafficking aimed at conspiracy against Venezuela,” said Cabello.

He also recalled the person who was arrested in the East of the country, “the man is a Serbian (Sharov Rumen), wanted by international justice for crimes of drug trafficking and murder, a mercenary, captured in an operation where he was willing to pay 25,000 dollars to be taken to a place to meet people; we infiltrated the operation, our Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) together with coastal surveillance; he was going to meet a sailing ship that was coming.

He also stressed that an Argentine citizen was the one with whom this person should meet, along with three Venezuelans. “We found explosives, weapons, graphics, data with opposing sectors. I have said it several times: When The New York Time releases it, the Venezuelan opposition will believe it. He's lost his political embarrassment, they don't care at all... This Serbian man manages accounts worth more than a billion dollars... That person was arrested in Colombia in 2023, supposedly they were waiting to deport him to one of the European countries, and a spectacular escape at the Colombian airport in the very noses of these people. He tried to enter Venezuela for this operation and we captured him here in Venezuela,” he explained.

In this context, what was stated by the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace occurred at the José María Córdova Airport in Rionegro, Antioquia, where there was an exchange of gunfire between uniformed members of the Colombian National Police and several individuals who were mobilizing in a high-end car. All this during a judicial operation for the escape of a drug trafficker who was going to be expelled from the country.

Also captured were Jesús Gerardo Rojas, one of the mobilizers of this subject; Germán Darío Giuliani; Omar José Serrano Rosales; Elvis Luis Rodríguez Marval; who form a terrorist gang that wanted to take over Venezuela at all costs to guarantee the passage of Colombian drugs through our country.
