The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled the fundamental tasks planned for the Red Awning Congress on February 22 and 23, during the press conference of the National Directorate.

“Remember that we have some tasks in Congress: election of candidates, communal and sectoral political teams, and from here to the assemblies of all sectors. And we are going to the task of the Assemblies of the Communes, we have the organizational structure of the Historical Bloc left,” Cabello urged.

In this regard, he recalled that the 47,000 communities in Venezuela, where the PSUV has a presence, will meet in assemblies “to generate their proposals and nominations of candidates for governors, deputies to the National Assembly and legislators of the Legislative Councils.”

The general secretary of the PSUV emphasized the efforts of internal democracy of the party and of the Great Patriotic Pole, and called that everyone who wants to participate can attend “to make their proposal from the different social sectors that live in the country, from the communities, and there it will be recorded for history as a full exercise of internal democracy”.
