This Tuesday, the Sectorial Vice President for Public Security Policy and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, in statements to the press, stated that there are a large number of officials linked to the corruption scheme in Maracaibo.

Cabello pointed out that “a whole plot of corruption is being dismantled in the Maracaibo municipality of Zulia state,” he said, adding that “there are a large number of mayoral officials who are part of the corrupt mafia, are part of this investigation and are being held at the behest of the courts.”

He also stressed that it is necessary to inform the country about the situation with which they have tried to manipulate the truth and which was said by "Pedro Guanipa, brother of Juan Pablo Guanipa, who confessed what the money was spent on”

“The money from collecting garbage in Maracaibo was used for Edmundo González Urrutia's activities in Zulia during his campaign,” Cabello denounced and reported that there are statements detailing the link between the mayor of Maracaibo and Manuel Rosales in all these campaign activities of the above-mentioned ultra-right candidate.
