The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reiterated that the nation's doors are open to those who want to come and invest.

“Venezuelans have our oil, we have our wealth and we are, little by little, looking for new partners, new investments,” said Cabello Rondón, during a press conference held by the National Directorate of the PSUV.

He also asserted that Venezuelans are not expecting anything from anyone, “but from ourselves.”

“Our People are setting an example to the world. We don't depend on the United States. Venezuela is achieving consecutive growth, it's been 17 quarters and that has nothing to do with the United States, it has to do with the Government and with the People of Venezuela, '” he said.

He recalled that since 2015, the U.S. government has declared Venezuela an unusual and extraordinary threat, and has used that narrative to impose more than 900 violations of international law through sanctions against the Venezuelan people.

“We don't threaten anyone, we don't constitute a threat to anyone, there is no element anywhere in the world that demonstrates that,” he said.
