At a press conference, the Sectorial Vice President for Security, Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, revealed details of the corruption scheme of the Mayor's Office of Maracaibo, Zulia state.

In this regard, the Minister of Interior, Justice and Peace, specified that the mayor's office had contracted seven companies dedicated to garbage collection, while ironizing that currently the capital of the state of Zulia is sunk in waste.

During the press conference, Cabello showed videos of those involved in this plot in which they confessed their participation in acts of corruption, so he said that “the Venezuelan opposition is bad in the opposition, but it is worse at governing; every time they come to a government, to a position of government they deploy equipment, similar to a mafia for corruption, much like a mother”.

Among the people involved, the minister highlighted Alejandro Silva, whose exact position is not known, but who, according to the information released, was very decisive in managing resources; another of the people named is Juan Pablo Guanipa, who received “$50,000 a week”, according to the statement of his brother, Pedro Guanipa.

Juan Pablo, if you want to go out and deny this and I will tell you what you spent that money on”, he warned and added that “you can go out and say that this is a lie and your brother will come out saying that what you spent that money on”.
