The first vice-president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello, pointed out that the Venezuelan opposition will still “scream” when the National Electoral Council (CNE) sets the date for this year's presidential elections.
“I assure you that all those who walk 'set the date', when the CNE sets the date will scream anyway, they will scream because they don't want elections, they know that we are going to win the elections, they want to get out of the Revolution,” he said during the PSUV press conference.
He also said how wrong this sector of the right is, which has been calling on young people to go with them. “If they can't get a foothold anywhere, it's in the Bolivarian youth, in the Chavista youth, in the conscious youth of this country. We know them, they are not sheep, they are wolves and wolves who want to put on a sheep's costume,” he said.
He specified that this violent sector does not want their Homeland, but right now during the electoral period they want to be disguised as a people.
“We're not afraid of him, the La Sayona thing is a game (...) but they who are the ones studied (...) they have like 14 candidates and I'm not involving those who don't go (...) we have only one; Chavism, who we study in the villages, we have only one candidate. Why is it? They have not been able to divide the revolutionary movement and the one that is leaving is drying up,” he said.
