Cabello: The PSUV will be the first soldier to seek consensus for the Constitutional Reform

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, confirmed that the political organization is first in line to debate the Constitutional Reform.

“Members of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela will be the first soldiers to seek that consensus necessary for the Reform throughout the country,” said Cabello during the Press Conference the National Directorate of the PSUV.

He stressed that this proposal for Constitutional Reform, by President Nicolás Maduro, is framed in the Magna Carta.

“Faced with the president's proposal, we are once again active; the Head of State has spoken of four fundamental lines: The expansion and improvement of direct democracy, new values for the construction of the new society, self-sustainable Venezuela and constitutional and political legal action,” he said.

He stressed that the opposition that today opposes this historic and constitutional fact is the same that opposed the approval of the Magna Carta in 1999.
