Cabello: The third mission was to kidnap magistrate Maikel Moreno

The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, the third mission of the terrorist operation aimed to kidnap magistrate Maikel Moreno.

“They were going to kidnap Judge Maikel Moreno, the information came to us and we immediately took action and provided special protection (to Moreno) on instructions from President Nicolás Maduro,” Cabello said at a press conference.

He pointed out that Moreno had two infiltrators who were arrested, while specifying that for this kidnapping the criminals would receive 300,000 dollars each.

“In this case, Maikel Moreno was going to go in his car, they were going to ride him in a checkpoint in uniform disguised as members of the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM), they were going to kidnap him, take him to a sector of the beach, they would ride him on a boat and then they would grab via Falcón and in international waters they would ride him in a helicopter to take him away. They say that US officials are involved,” he said.

He indicated that those who were in charge of the kidnapping have already been arrested and all the equipment involved in the operation has been seized.
